To Subscribe

We have created a listserv: cnls-l@mailman.ucalgary.ca (The  Network of the Learning Sciences in Canada), and the subscription page is here: https://mailman.ucalgary.ca/mailman/listinfo/CNLS-L.

When you subscribe, you will receive instructions to change your password and make any other changes to the subscription. Please encourage your students and other colleagues to subscribe. We will use this listserv to keep you updated about activities related to the Network of the Learning Sciences in Canada and any other related efforts and information. You may unsubscribe at any time. 

Discord Community 

We have a Discord server, and we invite you to join and use it as a place for synchronous and asynchronous connections with other members. It is also a place where you can stay up-to-date with news from the Network and its membership, including a place for members to promote new work. Please join us by following the directions below. 

To create your Discord account, follow these steps: 

1. Open your web browser and head over to https://discordapp.com/register 

2. Fill out the information, including your email address, username, and password. 

3. Once you fill out the required information, click on Continue.

4. You have now successfully created your Discord Account. 

5. You need to verify your email address before you can fully use your Discord account. 

6. Open your email address and open the email sent to you by Discord. 

7. Click on the “Verify Email” box to verify your email account.

8. Once you do that, you will finally be able to use your Discord account.

Once you have created your Discord account and verified your email address, you can join the Network of the Learning Sciences in Canada Discord server. To join our server, go to: https://discord.gg/ry37aBthru 

Once you join the Network, we will ask that you verify your identity with an administrator. The instructions are in the “「✅」start-here” channel of the Discord Server. 

This last verification step is to deter spam-bots and trolls from spamming our server. Our apologies for the many steps! Once you do the final steps inside the server, you will have full access to the server and will be able to post in channels.
